National Public Radio’s This I Believe segment today aired a wonderful piece by a former Guantanamo Bay interrogator. This isn’t a segment about torture; it’s a passionate soliloquy about enemies coming together and finding passive, mutual redemption. I was moved by it, and I urge my readers to please follow this link and read the piece, or, much better yet, listen to it.Perhaps one day all the people of the world will realize we’re not so different after all. A naïve belief perhaps, but I certainly hope so.
